The bridge carrying Revere Beach Parkway over Broadway is set to undergo priority bridge repairs to address areas of deterioration. This project will improve safety and ensure the existing lanes on Route 16 remain functional until the full bridge replacement.

Repairs are starting January 2025 and are expected to be completed by Spring 2025

Fenno Street Project Details

The City of Revere is set to begin the Fenno Street Drainage Improvements project in October 2024, aimed at addressing flooding issues in the Fenno and Olive Street areas due to undersized stormwater systems. The project includes the installation of 750 feet of new stormwater pipes, 11 new drain manholes, and 3 catch basins. It will enhance water quality by removing up to 25% of Total Suspended Solids and significantly reduce flooding, improving stormwater conveyance.

Liberty Avenue Neighborhood Drainage Improvements Project

Liberty Avenue Neighborhood Drainage Improvements Project

New England Civil Engineering Corp. will begin construction on the Liberty Avenue Neighborhood Drainage Improvements Project in October 2024. This initiative, identified by the Engineering Department and Department of Public Works, aims to enhance the stormwater infrastructure to address flooding issues during rain events caused by existing undersized systems.

The project will include the installation of approximately 1,450 linear feet of 12”-15” HDPE drain pipe, 17 drain manholes, and 14 catch basins. These upgrades are designed to improve stormwater quality by removing up to 25% of Total Suspended Solids (TSS) and reducing sediment and floatables in the downstream collection system.

Additionally, the new infrastructure will significantly decrease flooding events and increase drainage capacity in the area.

Replacement of various aging hydrants and gate valves located throughout the city.

Full project details

Watermain Replacement Project to update aging infrastructure on North Shore Rd for better water quality and more reliable distribution system.

This project has be split into two phases:

Phase one will be completed first and will include North Shore Rd. from Revere St. to Shawmut St. 

Phase two will continue in the Spring of 2025 and continue on North Shore Rd. from Shawmut St. down to 151 VFW Parkway (Wonderland Shopping Center) North Shore Rd. entrance
