Saturday DPW Disposal Services
The DPW Yard at 319 Charger Street is open on the last Saturday of each month from 7:00 AM to 12:00 PM for residents to dispose of specific items. Please see the information below regarding which items can be brought to the DPW Yard for disposal.

311 Service Requests
All requests for service for the DPW should go through the 311 Department. Whether a pothole, a missed trash pickup, or a downed sign, 311 will work with the DPW to get the request in their system and out to the right workers to complete the service.
Residents can apply and pay to have Bulky Items picked up by Sanitation Collectors. No longer do you need to visit City Hall. Find more Information about the Bulky Item Pickup Program. Printable instructions are also available.
This permit is only for short-term dumpsters for construction projects or clean-outs. Condo Associations, Food Establishments, and other businesses with permanent dumpsters must use the Dumpster LICENSE section of this site.
No part of a dumpster may obstruct a sidewalk or crosswalk.
No dumpster or part of a dumpster will be located in a no-parking area or on a no-parking side of the street or will block a driveway, street opening, or right of way.
Dumpsters may not be located within 20 feet of an intersection or on a traffic island.
No part of a dumpster will be located within a fire or ambulance zone or within 10 feet of a fire hydrant.
No part of a dumpster may block an egress from a home or other building.
All dumpsters, without exception, must be removed from the public way for scheduled street and catch-basin cleaning and during snow emergencies.
To help keep our streets clean, street sweeping occurs from April 1st to December 31st. Please be advised that vehicles parked in violation of regulations will be subject to ticketing and towing. Be sure to pay attention to signage in your neighborhood for any applicable parking restrictions.

During major snow storms, the City will declare a snow emergency and a parking ban on key arteries to ensure that plows can fully clear snow at those locations. In most cases during snow emergencies, the Wonderland parking garage will be available at a reduced rate for residents for the duration of the parking ban.

Most street lights in Revere are the responsibility of National Grid. Report outages and repairs at https://www1.nationalgridus.com/StreetLight-MA-RES. For faster and more accurate service, provide them with the street light number, found at the base of each street light. Where can I find winter weather announcements?
Announcements of snow emergencies shall be made by as many means available, including the City of Revere’s website, Facebook page, Twitter page, the Department of Public Work website, DPW Facebook page, DPW Twitter page, CodeRed notification service, local radio stations, local newspapers, and Revere’s Community Access Television Channels. Announcements that the snow emergency ban has been lifted will be made on the website and social media.
How can I apply to be a snow plow contractor for the Department of Public Works?
The Department of Public Works will make the new application forms available around November or December each year. Check back at that time.
Where should I place my trash and recycling bins during a snow storm?
Please be considerate of the plows when placing your carts out. If your curbside trash/recycling pickup coincides with plowing activities, make sure your trash can and recycling bin are well behind the curb so the plow will not hit them. Residents should take special care to ensure that trash and recycling carts are accessible with a 3-foot clearance around the cart to all obstacles, such as tall snow banks, other carts, overflow bags, mailboxes, trees, and parked cars.
How do I dispose of stumps and wood wastes?
Stumps and wood wastes are not permitted to be buried within the City of Revere without prior written approval from the Board of Health, and a permit from the Department of Environmental Protection.
