George V. Colella Community Center

Our city's Community Center is located within the Garfield School (176 Garfield Ave.) and is operated by the Parks and Recreation Department. The Community Center features a swimming pool, auditorium, classroom, and gymnasium.

The facility is available to residents of the City of Revere for meetings, birthday parties, gym rentals, and much more!

Whether you want to learn how to swim, be part of a team, stay in shape or fine tune a particular stroke technique, our aquatic professionals are here to help you reach your swim goals.

Enroll in Swim Classes

All new students who have not been enrolled in City of Revere Aquatics are required to take a FREE swim test. This test is required in order to register for classes. View upcoming swim tests here!
New classes begin every eight weeks.
Open Swim is typically offered five days per week (Monday, Wednesday, Friday, Saturday, & Sunday). Weekdays: 4:00 p.m.-5:40 p.m. & 7:15 p.m.-8:15 p.m. | Weekends: 9:00 a.m.-2:00 p.m.
Lap Swim is typically offered five days per week (Monday, Wednesday, Friday, Saturday, & Sunday). Weekdays: 4:00 p.m.-5:40 p.m. & 7:15 p.m.-8:15 p.m. | Weekends: 9:00 a.m.-2:00 p.m.

Facility Rates and Information

Gymnasium Rental Rates
- Youth Rate (Monday - Saturday) | $145 per every 3 hours**
- Youth Rate (Sunday) | $170 per every 3 hours**
- Adult Rate (Monday - Saturday) | $175 per every 3 hours**
- Adult Rate (Sunday) | $205 per every 3 hours**
- All gymnasium rentals must meet a minimum of three hours.
Classroom and Auditorium Rental Rates

The Pool is available to be rented. Please contact Community Center Coordinator for details.
Gymnasium and Pool rentals are subject to an addition $15 department permitting fee.

Community Center Programming

The George V. Colella Community Center features an auditorium, gymnasium, classroom, and indoor pool. We are eager to work with residents of Revere who wish to utilize this space!

We offer community programming October-May of each school year.
Community Center programs are open to residents and visitors of all ages.

Pickle Ball is held Wednesday evenings - 4:50 p.m.-8:45 p.m. - October through May.

Birthday Parties Include:

Up to 3 hours use of Gymnasium, Classroom, or auditorium.
- Additional hours may be added for an additional fee.
Pool available at an additional cost.
Tables, chairs, Inflatables, Parks & Rec Department supplies and staff.
Families must bring their own food, cake, refreshments, and paper products.
Custom packages available. Our goal is to accommodate our residents whenever possible.

Sports Party

The birthday party boy or girl and their family and friends will enjoy 1 hour in the gym playing various organized sports, activities, & backyard games. Options include soccer, basketball, tag, races, pillow polo, hockey, dodgeball, & much more! Our staff will work with you to construct the right schedule of games for your party. The gym will remain open after organized games for 30 minutes for free play. Once your time in the gym has ended, guests will be invited to our party room for the last 45 minutes of your party experience.

Pool Party

Enjoy 60 minutes of free swim in our indoor pool celebrating your child’s birthday with friends. Our friendly, trained aquatics staff will ensure your group will have a safe, fun experience in your own section of the pool. Free swim will also include some structure with water games and relay races. Parties concludes with 60 minutes in a dedicated room for the birthday child to enjoy social time with their friends and open presents.
Ensure a smooth & stress free party with our certified lifeguards & 1 hour of free swim in our pool (ages 4-15). The party will begin with all kids taking a swim test for safety purposes (treading water for 1 minute unassisted). All children 5 and under must be accompanied by an adult in the pool at all times.
After swim tests, kids will have a blast swimming & playing in our family pool for the remainder of the hour. For the next 60 minutes of the party, kids & guests will transition to our party room. If the gymnasium is available partygoers may utilize it free of charge after the pool.
For every 3 non-swimmers (children who did not pass the swim test), 1 adult must be in the water with those children.
Maximum of 15 swimmers. Includes adults that may need to accompany children ages 4-5.

Inflatable Party	$375 residents / $450 non-residents
Pre-school Open Gym	$350 residents / $450 non-residents
Sports Party	$375 residents / $450 non-residents
Pool Party	$475 residents/ $600 non-residents

*Sunday rentals will result in additional charge of $100.

* Birthday party reservations must be made at a minimum of 14 days in advance. All approved rentals will be confirmed within 2-3 business days and all fees will be due at the time of confirmation.

*Decorations are up to you! No confetti, glitter, or silly string. Painter's Tape only for wall decorations - no tacks, glue, scotch, duct or masking tape. We will do our best to accommodate decorating requests, but decorating and removal of decorations must be done during your rental period. Please plan accordingly.
