2025 Residential Parking Permit Season: Changes for Residents

Digital Residential Permits & Visitor Passes
Starting in 2025, the City of Revere is transitioning to digital residential permits and visitor passes. This means:
- No More Physical Permits: Physical permit stickers and visitor placards will no longer be issued. Instead, vehicles’ license plates will serve as the
Automatic Fulfillment Process:
Residential permits will continue to be processed automatically for all vehicles listed under the 1st Commitment excise tax billing.
- Once processed, residents will receive a confirmation receipt sent to the address where the vehicle is principally garaged within the City of Revere, assuming there are no restrictions according to the City-Wide Permit
- Each vehicle in the home that has been automatically fulfilled will receive a separate receipt showing the specified license
Permit Issues Due to Overdue Violations or Excise Taxes:
If a vehicle has any overdue parking violations or excise taxes (2025 excise taxes are not included in the automatic fulfillment), the permit will not be issued.

Confirmation of 2025 Permit:
- If a resident does not receive a confirmation receipt by February 18th for an active 2025 permit, they should contact the Parking Department at Parking@Revere.org with their address and license plate number for
Digital Visitor Passes
Visitor Pass Requests:
Visitor passes must be requested by the resident, as they are not automatically fulfilled. A
$10.00 fee applies. Residents over 65 years of age are exempt.
Application Process:
- Applications can be submitted online via Revere Parking Department Website or in person at the Revere Parking Department, 300 Broadway, Suite #2, Revere, MA
- Residents must provide two proofs of Revere residency:
- Vehicle Registration and photo ID (matching name/address)
- If an address change was made via the MA RMV, documented proof is required.
- If the resident does not own a vehicle, a utility bill (gas, electric, or cable) and photo ID are acceptable. (matching name/address)
Receiving Visitor Pass:
After approval, residents will receive a receipt with their unique digital visitor pass number and usage details.
Activating a Visitor Pass:
If a resident has a guest during restricted parking hours, they must activate the visitor pass online, available 24/7.
- To activate, residents need the visitor pass number, the permit holder’s last name, and the guest’s vehicle license plate
- A step-by-step guide will be available on our homepage, along with the activation portal
- If a resident does not have access to a computer, phone support is available during business
Usage Limits:
Digital visitor passes can be used for up to 8 days per month per plate. Activation beyond this limit will be denied.
