Senior Citizen Work-Off Abatement Lottery List
September 14, 2016At the Lottery held on Thursday, August 5, 2016, the following individuals were chosen for the Real Estate Abatement and Water Abatements. Seniors chosen for the real estate portion will begin work on September 26, 2016 and must complete their hours by November 23, 2016. Seniors chosen for the water portion will begin work on Monday, February 13, 2017 and will have until April 19, 2017 to complete their hours. Letters to the Real Estate recipients will be mailed no later than September 14, 2016. Letters to the Water recipients will be mailed by mid-January, 2017. Special Olympics Young Athlete Program Coming To Revere! Volunteers and Athletes Wanted!
August 16, 2016Mayor Brian Arrigo is delighted to announce that Special Olympics is officially returning to Revere with the launch of the Young Athletes Program this fall. The program seeks children age 2-7 with intellectual disabilities to sign up to participate; they also need volunteers willing to help support the athletes each week.

Christopher Bright To Be Officially Sworn In As Chief of Revere Fire Department In Ceremony On Monday at 3 PM
August 11, 2016Mayor Brian Arrigo announced on Thursday that Christopher Bright, a 33-year veteran of the Revere Fire Department who has served as Acting Chief since the retirement of Chief Eugene Doherty, will be formally sworn in as the next Chief of the Revere Fire Department. The swearing-in will take place on Monday, August 15 at 3 PM in the City Council chambers at Revere City Hall, with Mayor Arrigo and City Clerk Ashley Melnik performing the ceremony. Read more

National Night Out Celebrations To Be Held on Tuesday, August 2
July 25, 2016There will be two NNO celebrations held in Revere on Tuesday, August 2. One will take place at Curtis Park at the Garfield School (176 Garfield Ave), sponsored by Councillor Ira Novoselsky. The other will be led at the West Revere School Complex (107 Newhall St.), hosted by the City of Revere and Mayor Brian Arrigo. The events will begin at 5 PM, and will be held in conjunction with the Revere Police Department, Revere Fire Department Revere Recreation Department, and Departmente of Public Works. Read more
Revere To Sign Sister City Agreement With Date City, Japan on August 2
July 22, 2016In recognition of a long partnership between the City of Revere and Date, a city in Japan’s Fukushima prefecture, the two cities will formally sign a sister city agreement at City Hall on Tuesday, August 2 at 11 AM in the City Council Chamber.
