REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS
FOR APPRAISAL SERVICES
FOR THE CITY OF REVERE
Sealed proposals to furnish appraisal services for the City of Revere will be received at the Office of the Purchasing Agent, City Hall, Revere, Massachusetts, until 12:00 Noon on August 7, 2008.
Specifications may be obtained beginning Thursday, July 24, 2008 at 1:00 p.m. from the Office of the Purchasing Agent, Revere City Hall, 281 Broadway, Revere, Massachusetts 02151. Mailing of specifications requires advance payment in the form of a bank check or money order, in the amount of $ 5.00.
Each proposal submitted must be accompanied by a good faith deposit in the form of a bid bond, cashier’s check, certified check, or a treasurer’s check, issued by a reputable bank or trust company, in the amount of $500.00. Checks must be made payable to the City of Revere.
The City of Revere as the awarding authority, may accept any proposal or portion of a proposal, waive any informality in a proposal, order more or less of any item, investigate the ability of the vendors to honor a proposal, select a vendor who does not submit the highest proposal and award all contracts as shall be considered in the best interest of the City of Revere.
It is the policy of the City of Revere to take positive steps to maximize the utilization of minority business enterprises in all activities administered by this agency.
No candidate may withdraw his/her proposal within forty-five (45) business days after the actual date of the opening thereof.
This request for proposals is in accordance with M.G.L. Chapter 30B
